Jerran Hart was
born on 19th January 1991 in Ipswich, Suffolk, to his parents Steve and
Michelle. |
The 2009 season will
be Jerran's third full season of speedway racing, having started in 2007
at Sittingbourne in the Conference League. His performances at the lower
levels of British racing caught the attention of many promoters, and by the
end of his first year he was already on the wanted list of several
clubs. |
He began the 2008 season
with Newport in the Premier League and was making steady progress, until
the death of Newport promoter Tim Stone forced the closure of the club. Within
days, he had been signed up by Newcastle, where he remained for the rest
of the year. |

During his time with
Newcastle, he displayed a natural talent and fast became one of the most
talked-about new riders, turning in some awesome performances including race
wins over some of the country's top names including Tai
Woffinden. |
At the end of the 2008
season, he took his well-earned place in the British Under 18 Championship
at Scunthorpe, where he made it through to the final. A third place finish
in that meeting made sure he would be firmly in the sights of clubs across
the country. |
While having made it
clear he is hugely grateful to the Newcastle club and supporters, Jerran
will start the 2009 season in the British Premier League with the Scunthorpe
Scorpions, on loan from his parent club, Lakeside. |
